AppAudit ("we", "us", or "our") is a Shopify app that analyzes your installed apps, theme scripts, and store configuration to help you optimize performance and reduce unnecessary costs. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

When you install AppAudit, we collect and store:

• Your Shopify shop domain (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)
• Your Shopify access token (used to call the Shopify Admin API on your behalf)
• The list of apps installed on your store (names, categories, install dates)
• Your store's theme file data (to detect scripts injected by apps)
• Audit results, scores, and history generated by our scans
• Your billing plan and subscription status
• Your alert email address (only if you provide one in Settings)

• Customer personal data (no orders, customer emails, addresses, or payment info)
• Any data not needed to provide the audit service

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the AppAudit service:

• Running app audits and generating health scores
• Detecting overlapping or redundant apps
• Identifying theme scripts that may impact performance
• Sending email alerts about significant changes (only if you opt in)
• Displaying audit history and trends in your dashboard

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a dedicated server in the European Union. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to make API calls on your behalf.

5. Third-Party Services

AppAudit uses the following third-party services:

• Shopify — We use the Shopify Admin API to read your installed apps and theme files. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
• Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — We use Brevo to send email alerts if you opt in. Only your email address and alert content are shared with Brevo. Their privacy policy is available at brevo.com.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your AppAudit subscription is active. When you uninstall AppAudit, we delete your store's data within 30 days. You can request immediate deletion by emailing us at the address below.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your store
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for email alerts at any time (via Settings)

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of AppAudit after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
